C. Burns Falker is a distinguished Senior Integrated Media Specialist and personality with Radio One Atlanta who has received honorable mention in the areas of top sales person, employee of the month, sales employee of the month and employee of the year while continuing to excel in the advertising & marketing community. Contrary to belief she earned a degree in Forest Resource Management from the University of Tennessee in 1995. Who would have thought that a young Coriya, born in Washington D.C., raised in Memphis, Tennessee would even be interested in radio. But she is a natural, with her mother, father and sister all being musicians, it is not a surprise she was lead to entertainment.

She focuses mainly on the intersection of sales and imaging of the station. Her first position with Radio One Atlanta was in 1995; there she started in promotions assisting with all areas of event planning and execution of on-air promotions involving the station. In that year, she also worked with programming, engineering and sales.

With the stance to make things happen, Sales quickly saw her as an asset for their department and in 1996 she acquired the position as Sales Assistant for the station. There she developed sales packages, radio copy, marketing plans and was the liaison between sales, promotions and programming. 1996 was also the year that C. Burns was awarded and named Radio One Atlanta’s 1st Employee of the Year.  Coming from Sales Assistant for the station, she quickly burst into the role of Account Manager in 1997 and her responsibilities multiplied.

Although, C. Burns devotes most of her time to sales, she still continues work closely with all departments at the station. She also found time in her busy schedule through the years to help coordinate and contribute to charitable events.  This busy, yet grounded young lady increases her knowledge with continuous marketing/sales training and previously co-owned an apparel line, Pretty Girls Love Jesus/Cool Kids Love Jesus with her son Bryce Elijah. In addition she serves as a Minister at New Light Church in Douglasville, GA.  Recently she was recognized as a Leading Lady in Ministry.

C. Burns is the radio phenomenon; she continues to apply her skills assisting clients with feasible, marketing and sales plans. Business relationship development, increasing current sales, market-share and developing new strategies are her favorite challenges.

She resides in Douglasville, GA with her husband and son and as most people know - she loves to travel and explore various cultures.  She has even been dubbed the travel chick.
